Surat No 2 : سورة البقرة – Ayat No 3
الَّذِیۡنَ یُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِالۡغَیۡبِ وَ یُقِیۡمُوۡنَ الصَّلٰوۃَ وَ مِمَّا رَزَقۡنٰہُمۡ یُنۡفِقُوۡنَ
जो ग़ैब पर ईमान लाते हैं, नमाज़ क़ायम करते हैं, जो रिज़्क़ हमने उनको दिया है, उसमें से ख़र्च करते हैं
Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them
Surat No 2 : سورة البقرة – Ayat No 83
وَ اِذۡ اَخَذۡنَا مِیۡثَاقَ بَنِیۡۤ اِسۡرَآءِیۡلَ لَا تَعۡبُدُوۡنَ اِلَّا اللّٰہَ ۟ وَ بِالۡوَالِدَیۡنِ اِحۡسَانًا وَّ ذِی الۡقُرۡبٰی وَ الۡیَتٰمٰی وَ الۡمَسٰکِیۡنِ وَ قُوۡلُوۡا لِلنَّاسِ حُسۡنًا وَّ اَقِیۡمُوا الصَّلٰوۃَ وَ اٰتُوا الزَّکٰوۃَ ؕ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّیۡتُمۡ اِلَّا قَلِیۡلًا مِّنۡکُمۡ وَ اَنۡتُمۡ مُّعۡرِضُوۡنَ
याद करो, इसराईल की औलाद से हमने पक्का अहद लिया था कि अल्लाह के सिवा किसी की बन्दगी न करना, माँ-बाप के साथ, रिश्तेदारों के साथ, यतीमों और मोहताजों के साथ अच्छा सुलूक करना, लोगों से भली बात कहना, नमाज़ क़ायम करना और ज़कात देना, मगर थोड़े आदमियों के सिवा तुम सब इस अहद से फिर गए और अब तक फिरे हुए हो।
And [recall] when We took the covenant from the Children of Israel, [enjoining upon them], “Do not worship except Allah ; and to parents do good and to relatives, orphans, and the needy. And speak to people good [words] and establish prayer and give zakah.” Then you turned away, except a few of you, and you were refusing.
Surat No 2 : سورة البقرة – Ayat No 43
وَ اَقِیۡمُوا الصَّلٰوۃَ *وَ اٰتُوا الزَّکٰوۃَ* وَ ارۡکَعُوۡا مَعَ الرّٰکِعِیۡنَ ﴿۴۳﴾
नमाज़ क़ायम करो, ज़कात दो, और जो लोग मेरे आगे झुक रहे हैं उनके साथ तुम भी झुक जाओ।
And establish prayer and give zakah (zakat) and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience.
Surat No 2 : سورة البقرة – Ayat No 110
وَ اَقِیۡمُوا الصَّلٰوۃَ وَ اٰتُوا الزَّکٰوۃَ ؕ وَ مَا تُقَدِّمُوۡا لِاَنۡفُسِکُمۡ مِّنۡ خَیۡرٍ تَجِدُوۡہُ عِنۡدَ اللّٰہِ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ بَصِیۡرٌ ﴿۱۱۰﴾
नमाज़ क़ायम करो और ज़कात दो। तुम अपनी मरने के बाद की ज़िन्दगी के लिये जो भलाई कमाकर आगे भेजोगे, अल्लाह के पास उसे मौजूद पाओगे। जो कुछ तुम करते हो, वो सब अल्लाह की नज़र में है।
And establish prayer and give zakah (zakat), and whatever good you put forward for yourselves – you will find it with Allah. Indeed, Allah of what you do, is Seeing.
Surat No 2 : سورة البقرة – Ayat No 177
لَیۡسَ الۡبِرَّ اَنۡ تُوَلُّوۡا وُجُوۡہَکُمۡ قِبَلَ الۡمَشۡرِقِ وَ الۡمَغۡرِبِ وَ لٰکِنَّ الۡبِرَّ مَنۡ اٰمَنَ بِاللّٰہِ وَ الۡیَوۡمِ الۡاٰخِرِ وَ الۡمَلٰٓئِکَۃِ وَ الۡکِتٰبِ وَ النَّبِیّٖنَ ۚ وَ اٰتَی الۡمَالَ عَلٰی حُبِّہٖ ذَوِی الۡقُرۡبٰی وَ الۡیَتٰمٰی وَ الۡمَسٰکِیۡنَ وَ ابۡنَ السَّبِیۡلِ ۙ وَ السَّآئِلِیۡنَ وَ فِی الرِّقَاب ۚ وَ اَقَامَ الصَّلٰوۃَ وَ اٰتَی الزَّکٰوۃَ ۚ وَ الۡمُوۡفُوۡنَ بِعَہۡدِہِمۡ اِذَا عٰہَدُوۡا ۚ وَ الصّٰبِرِیۡنَ فِی الۡبَاۡسَآءِ وَ الضَّرَّآءِ وَ حِیۡنَ الۡبَاۡسِ ؕ اُولٰٓئِکَ الَّذِیۡنَ صَدَقُوۡا ؕ وَ اُولٰٓئِکَ ہُمُ الۡمُتَّقُوۡنَ ﴿۱۷۷﴾
नेकी ये नहीं है की तुमने अपने चेहरे पूरब की तरफ़ कर लिये या पश्चिम की तरफ़, बल्कि नेकी ये है कि आदमी अल्लाह को और आख़िरत के दिन और फ़रिश्तों को और अल्लाह की उतारी हुई किताब और उसके पैग़म्बरों को दिल से माने और अल्लाह की मुहब्बत में अपना दिलपसन्द माल रिश्तेदारों और यतीमों पर, ग़रीबों और मुसाफ़िरों पर, मदद के लिये हाथ फैलाने वालों पर और ग़ुलामों की रिहाई पर ख़र्च करे; नमाज़ क़ायम करे और ज़कात दे। और नेक वो लोग हैं कि जब वादा करें तो उसे पूरा करें, और तंगी व मुसीबत के वक़्त में और हक़ और बातिल [ असत्य] की लड़ाई में सब्र करें। ये हैं सच्चे लोग और यही लोग परहेज़गार हैं।
Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah , the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous.
Surat No 2 : سورة البقرة – Ayat No 195
وَ اَنۡفِقُوۡا فِیۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ وَ لَا تُلۡقُوۡا بِاَیۡدِیۡکُمۡ اِلَی التَّہۡلُکَۃِ ۚ ۖ ۛ وَ اَحۡسِنُوۡا ۚ ۛ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ یُحِبُّ الۡمُحۡسِنِیۡنَ ﴿۱۹۵﴾
अल्लाह की राह में ख़र्च करो और अपने हाथों अपने आपको हलाकत में न डालो। एहसान का तरीक़ा अपनाओ कि अल्लाह एहसान करनेवालों को पसन्द करता है।
And spend in the way of Allah and do not throw [yourselves] with your [own] hands into destruction [by refraining]. And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.
Surat No 2 : سورة البقرة – Ayat No 215
یَسۡئَلُوۡنَکَ مَا ذَا یُنۡفِقُوۡنَ ۬ ؕ قُلۡ مَاۤ اَنۡفَقۡتُمۡ مِّنۡ خَیۡرٍ فَلِلۡوَالِدَیۡنِ وَ الۡاَقۡرَبِیۡنَ وَ الۡیَتٰمٰی وَ الۡمَسٰکِیۡنِ وَ ابۡنِالسَّبِیۡلِ ؕ وَ مَا تَفۡعَلُوۡا مِنۡ خَیۡرٍ فَاِنَّ اللّٰہَ بِہٖ عَلِیۡمٌ ﴿۲۱۵﴾
लोग आपसे पूछते हैं कि क्या ख़र्च करें? (ऐ नबी) कह दें कि जो माल तुम ख़र्च करो तो उसमें हक़ है तुम्हारे माँ-बाप का, और रिश्तेदारों का, और यतीमों का, और मोहताजों का और मुसाफिरों का, और जो भलाई तुम करोगे वह अल्लाह को मालूम है।
They ask you, [O Muhammad], what they should spend. Say, “Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveler. And whatever you do of good – indeed, Allah is Knowing of it.”
Surat No 2 : سورة البقرة – Ayat No 254
یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا *اَنۡفِقُوۡا مِمَّا رَزَقۡنٰکُمۡ مِّنۡ قَبۡلِ اَنۡ یَّاۡتِیَ یَوۡمٌ لَّا بَیۡعٌ فِیۡہِ وَ لَا خُلَّۃٌ وَّ لَا شَفَاعَۃٌ* ؕ وَ الۡکٰفِرُوۡنَ ہُمُ الظّٰلِمُوۡنَ ﴿۲۵۴﴾
ऐ लोगो जो ईमान लाए हो ! जो कुछ माल-दौलत हमने तुमको दिया है, उसमें से ख़र्च करो इससे पहले कि वो दिन आए जिसमें न ख़रीद- फ़रोख़्त होगी, न दोस्ती काम आएगी और न सिफ़ारिश चलेगी और ज़ालिम असल में वही हैं जो कुफ़्र [ इनकार] की रविश अपनाते हैं।
O you who have believed, spend from that which We have provided for you before there comes a Day in which there is no exchange and no friendship and no intercession. And the disbelievers – they are the wrongdoers.
Surat No 2 : سورة البقرة – Ayat No 261
مَثَلُ الَّذِیۡن یُنۡفِقُوۡنَ اَمۡوَالَہُمۡ فِیۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ کَمَثَلِ حَبَّۃٍ اَنۡۢبَتَتۡ سَبۡعَ سَنَابِلَ فِیۡ کُلِّ سُنۡۢبُلَۃٍ مِّائَۃُ حَبَّۃٍ ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ یُضٰعِفُ لِمَنۡ یَّشَآءُ ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِیۡمٌ ﴿۲۶۱﴾
जो लोग अपने माल अल्लाह की राह में ख़र्च करते हैं, उनके ख़र्च की मिसाल ऐसी है जैसे एक दाना बोया जाए और उससे सात बालें निकलें और हर बाल में सौ दाने हों। इसी तरह अल्लाह जिसके अमल को चाहता है, बढ़ोतरी देता है। वो बड़ा खुले हाथवाला भी है और सब कुछ जाननेवाला भी।
The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing
Surat No 2 : سورة البقرة – Ayat No 262
اَلَّذِیۡنَ یُنۡفِقُوۡنَ اَمۡوَالَہُمۡ فِیۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ ثُمَّ لَا یُتۡبِعُوۡنَ مَاۤ اَنۡفَقُوۡا مَنًّا وَّ لَاۤ اَذًی ۙ لَّہُمۡ اَجۡرُہُمۡ عِنۡدَ رَبِّہِمۡ ۚ وَ لَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَیۡہِمۡ وَ لَا ہُمۡ یَحۡزَنُوۡنَ ﴿۲۶۲﴾
जो लोग अपने माल अल्लाह की राह में ख़र्च करते हैं और ख़र्च करके फिर एहसान नहीं जताते, न दुःख देते हैं, उनका बदला उनके रब के पास है, और उनके लिये किसी रंज और खौफ़ का मौक़ा नहीं।
Those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah and then do not follow up what they have spent with reminders [of it] or [other] injury will have their reward with their Lord, and there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.
Surat No 2 : سورة البقرة – Ayat No 263
قَوۡلٌ مَّعۡرُوۡفٌ وَّ مَغۡفِرَۃٌ خَیۡرٌ مِّنۡ صَدَقَۃٍ یَّتۡبَعُہَاۤ اَذًی ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ غَنِیٌّ حَلِیۡمٌ ﴿۲۶۳
मुनासिब बात कह देना और दरगुज़र करना उस सदक़े से बेहतर है जिसके बाद सताना हो, और अल्लाह बेनियाज़ है, बुर्दबार है।
Kind speech and forgiveness are better than charity followed by injury. And Allah is Free of need and Forbearing.
Surat No 2 : سورة البقرة – Ayat No 264
یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَا تُبۡطِلُوۡا صَدَقٰتِکُمۡ بِالۡمَنِّ وَ الۡاَذٰی ۙ کَالَّذِیۡ یُنۡفِقُ مَالَہٗ رِئَآءَ النَّاسِ وَ لَا یُؤۡمِنُ بِاللّٰہِ وَ الۡیَوۡمِ الۡاٰخِرِؕ فَمَثَلُہٗ کَمَثَلِ صَفۡوَانٍ عَلَیۡہِ تُرَابٌ فَاَصَابَہٗ وَابِلٌ فَتَرَکَہٗ صَلۡدًا ؕ لَا یَقۡدِرُوۡنَ عَلٰی شَیۡءٍ مِّمَّا کَسَبُوۡا ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ لَا یَہۡدِی الۡقَوۡمَ الۡکٰفِرِیۡنَ ﴿۲۶۴﴾
ऐ ईमान लानेवालो ! अपने सदक़ों को एहसान जताकर और दुःख देकर उस आदमी की तरह मिट्टी में न मिला दो जो अपना माल सिर्फ़ लोगों के दिखाने को ख़र्च करता है और न अल्लाह पर ईमान रखता है, न आख़िरत पर। उसके ख़र्च की मिसाल ऐसी है, जैसे एक चट्टान थी जिस पर मिट्टी की तह जमी हुई थी। उसपर जब ज़ोर की बारिश हुई तो सारी मिट्टी बह गई और साफ़ चट्टान की चट्टान रह गई। ऐसे लोग अपनी नज़र में ख़ैरात करके जो नेकी कमाते हैं, उससे कुछ भी उनके हाथ नहीं आता और इनकार करनेवालों को सीधी राह दिखाना अल्लाह का दस्तूर नहीं है।
O you who have believed, do not invalidate your charities with reminders or injury as does one who spends his wealth [only] to be seen by the people and does not believe in Allah and the Last Day. His example is like that of a [large] smooth stone upon which is dust and is hit by a downpour that leaves it bare. They are unable [to keep] anything of what they have earned. And Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.
Surat No 2 : سورة البقرة – Ayat No 265
وَ مَثَلُ الَّذِیۡنَ یُنۡفِقُوۡنَ اَمۡوَالَہُمُ ابۡتِغَآءَ مَرۡضَاتِ اللّٰہِ وَ تَثۡبِیۡتًا مِّنۡ اَنۡفُسِہِمۡ کَمَثَلِ جَنَّۃٍ ۢ بِرَبۡوَۃٍ اَصَابَہَا وَابِلٌ فَاٰتَتۡ اُکُلَہَا ضِعۡفَیۡنِ ۚ فَاِنۡ لَّمۡ یُصِبۡہَا وَابِلٌ فَطَلٌّ ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ بَصِیۡرٌ ﴿۲۶۵﴾
इसके बरख़िलाफ़ जो लोग अपने माल सिर्फ़ अल्लाह की ख़ुशी की चाहत में दिल के पूरे जमाव और क़रार के साथ ख़र्च करते हैं, उनके ख़र्च की मिसाल ऐसी है जैसे किसी ऊँची सतह पर एक बाग़ हो। अगर ज़ोर की बारिश हो जाए तो दुगुना फल लाए और अगर ज़ोर की बारिश न भी हो तो एक हलकी फुहार ही उसके लिये काफ़ी हो जाए। तुम जो करते हो, सब अल्लाह की नज़र में है।
And the example of those who spend their wealth seeking means to the approval of Allah and assuring [reward for] themselves is like a garden on high ground which is hit by a downpour – so it yields its fruits in double. And [even] if it is not hit by a downpour, then a drizzle [is sufficient]. And Allah , of what you do, is Seeing.
Surat No 2 : سورة البقرة – Ayat No 267
یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اَنۡفِقُوۡا مِنۡ طَیِّبٰتِ مَا کَسَبۡتُمۡ وَ مِمَّاۤ اَخۡرَجۡنَا لَکُمۡ مِّنَ الۡاَرۡضِ ۪ وَ لَا تَیَمَّمُوا الۡخَبِیۡثَ مِنۡہُ تُنۡفِقُوۡنَ وَ لَسۡتُمۡ بِاٰخِذِیۡہِ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ تُغۡمِضُوۡا فِیۡہِ ؕ وَ اعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّ اللّٰہَ غَنِیٌّ حَمِیۡدٌ ﴿۲۶۷﴾
ऐ लोगो, जो ईमान लाए हो ! जो माल तुमने कमाए हैं और जो कुछ हमने ज़मीन से तुम्हारे लिये निकाला है, उसमें से बेहतर हिस्सा अल्लाह की राह में ख़र्च करो। ऐसा न हो कि उसकी राह में देने के लिये बुरी से बुरी चीज़ छाँटने की कोशिश करने लगो, हालाँकि वही चीज़ अगर कोई तुम्हें दे तो तुम हरगिज़ उसे लेना न चाहोगे, ये और बात है कि उसको क़बूल करने में तुम देखी-अनदेखी कर जाओ। तुम्हें जान लेना चाहिये कि अल्लाह बेनियाज़ है और बेहतरीन सिफ़ात [ गुणों] वाला है।
O you who have believed, *spend from the good things which you have earned* and from that which We have produced for you from the earth. And do not aim toward the defective therefrom, spending [from that] while you would not take it [yourself] except with closed eyes. And know that Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy.
